To find the author's name for an article in Smart Search, make sure you are using the Smart Search Detailed Record Screen. You can access the Detailed Record Screen when using Smart Search by clicking on the title of your article when viewing your search results.

When viewing the Detailed Record Screen for your article you will find the author(s) for your article labeled, in bold, as Authors, underneath the article title that appears in the center column of your screen. Some periodical articles do not have named authors so you will not find the Authors label listed. If this is the case and you are creating a citation, you will not include an author name in your citation.
